- This concise dream book is packed full of practical exercises and tips. But it’s not just a “how to“ book…it will stir your soul. Kudos to the author for writing a book that is both easy to read, presents material in an engaging format, and yet still very scholarly. She shows us how to take inventory of ourselves, unlock our creativity so that we can live a more fulfilling life and manifest our innermost desires, all by tapping into the power of our dreams. Both novices as well as experienced dreamers like myself will find it appealing. Though I’ve been exploring my dreams for decades I found the chapters on sexuality and dreams, treating illness through dreams, and Lucid Dreamplay particularly unique and helpful. Although the book title suggests this is a book targeted for lucid dreamers, the author also addresses a host of non-lucid dream topics with equal proclivity - such as dream interpretation, healing from emotional wounds & dealing with nightmares. A truly worthwhile addition to any dream library collection.
- Clare's book is very helpful to people just starting to work with their dreams and with others who have been into dream work for a long time. I have been into dream work for over 20 years and got a lot out of it. I loved how she suggested what to do in a dream when you become lucid as well as how to work the dream if you did not become lucid . I do not have lucid dreams and have used her Mindful Dreaming techniques to help heal issues my dreams have show cased. Her technique is the next step to take after working with the dream in order to get the ultimate healing from the dream. I highly recommend it!
- I read a lot of dream books - this was not great - a bit simplistic
- This is a beautiful book with deep insights, it has things like a 9-step guide to getting lucid, how to release the past, heal nightmares and shows a clear path to getting more mindful in all areas of life. The book gives tips for interpreting your own dreams and understanding the language that dreams speak in. There are loads of practical techniques on things like releasing trauma, transforming sleep paralysis, doing dream incubations, and how to be more loving and accepting towards yourself in your thoughts and feelings towards yourself. There are chapters on sexual dreams, illness and pain recovery, soul dreams and grief dreams. Lots of examples of really quite amazing dreams that people have had and how they worked with them mindfully to find solutions to their problems. Highly recommended - the perfect book to keep on your bedside table.
